I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
